Charlie 1999

Two awesome CDs for the price of free!  This volume contained the overall best lineup of songs as well as six skits, displaying our zeal for the project as well as our underestimation of how long it would take to burn the discs.  Mark’s Dad played a key role in one of the skits and even ad libbed several outrageous lines.  The interior fold artwork is hilarious as well... with a special appearance from the Unibomber.  Also, I stuffed Mrs. Claus' Christmas goose with a savory mixture of succulent, succulent chestnuts.

Mark 1999

This is, without a doubt, the most ambitious Psychotic Christmas we ever made. A 2 CD set. 33 songs. Six skits. Multimedia CDs with Psychotic Christmas desktop images and Tenacious D videos. And a cool twist: we selected at least one song to represent each of the preceeding 20 years and put the playlist in chronological order. The first CD is basically the best 80's alternative compilation you will ever own. One of the more notable responses we got from this year's Psychotic Christmas is that Caroline apparently has a "hot girl voice". Also, Charlie's college band is represented on this CD with their classic 1988 single, "Peace and Vegetable Rights," an anthem promoting respectful tolerance in the plant kingdom.

Special thanks to Jonathan and Susan, who spent a lot of time helping us get those six skits mixed and mastered for the CD.
