Psychotic Christmas

Interpol and Sigur Ros on the playlist way back in 2001... boy, were we ahead of the curve on some of the great new music that started appearing in the early 00's! Besides the goal of spending time together and doing something creative, a secondary goal of the Psychotic Christmas series was to provide our friends with new music (or in some cases old music) that we were enjoying at the time. Some of our selections have withstood the test of time, and others have seemed ill-advised at best, but I really take pleasure in looking back into the soundtrack of our lives during that period.

Regarding Mr. Poopy, he remains to this day an extremely valuable player in the Eckstrom household. We have delegated the task of changing Wes' soiled diapers to him as well as cleaning out the roof gutters every spring. I often sneak into the kids' bedroom during naptime to catch a glimpse of Mr. P serenading one of them with a simian lullaby.

The triumphant return of Mr. Poopy! I like how whenever Charlie is single, Mr. Poopy steps in as his "better half". Mr. P might be a mercurial megalomaniac but, as Charlie is always quick to point out, he's a conscientious valet and mixes a damn fine martini.

The "8 Watches" bits are from Comedy Central's TV Funhouse. It's a bunch of demented puppets comparing stuff they've bought with their earnings from being animal testing subjects at cosmetic labs. That show was freakin' HIGH-larious.
